“A singer-songwriter that is one of the Country and Americana scene's true journeymen. Artist you need to know. His new album, Still Here, is an album rooted in persistence and purpose, with songs... shining a light on the struggle of the modern-day road warrior.” - ROLLING STONE

Don Gallardo has called Nashville home for 10 years, but his California roots shine through on current LP, STILL HERE.  Gallardo weaves his 1970’s Laurel Canyon influences into a modern roots-Americana epic. Backed by Nashville Legendary musicians Dave Roe on Bass (Johnny Cash, Sturgill Simpson), Bryan Owings on drums (Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller), Micah Hulscher on organ/piano (Margo Price), Richard Bailey on banjo (The Steeldrivers), Joe Andrews on mandolin (Old Crow Medicine Show) and guitar legend Brent Mason, and with co-writes by the likes of Mando Saenz, Carey Ott, Tim Easton, & Robby Hecht.  Don has got his heart in the East Nashville sound but his California roots are never far away.

Gallardo’s last album HICKORY received high marks: The Telegraph called Hickory, released in the UK by Clubhouse Records,  “One of the Best Country Music Albums of 2015” along with Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Patty Griffin, Justin Townes Earle, & more. MOJO Magazine gave Hickory “4 Stars” and in 2016 Rolling Stone calls Gallardo “A singer-songwriter that is one of the Country and Americana scene's true journeymen.”

Gallardo’s work has been prominently featured in films "Jolene" and Jackass Presents "Bad Grandpa" as well as highly popular television series, "The Vampire Diaries," ABC's "Nashville,” and Netflix series “The Ranch.”

His new album, "Still Here" was released on all formats – digital & CD on April 27, 2018, on Rock Ridge Music, and has had great reviews from Rolling Stone, MOJO, Glide Magazine, & Alternate Root magazine.

4 of 5 Stars “Nashville Singer-songwriter continues Country’s regeneration. Gallardo nods to country’s most distant past while sounding like its very near future.”
- MOJO Magazine

"Nashville’s own singer songwriter Don Gallardo presents his own folk tinged take on alt-country and Americana combined with a retro 70’s aesthetic.  Hailed by critics, Rolling Stone hailed him as, “one of Americana’s true journeyman”.  Gallardo describes himself as a road warrior due to his frequent touring, and his life on the road certainly shines through his music.  With musical themes that evoke images of rolling American landscapes, Don Gallardo is the perfect choice to throw on any road trip playlist."

One of “Best Country Music Albums of 2015” with the likes of Gretchen Peters, Justin Townes Earle, Jason Isbell, Patty Griffin, Kasey Musgraves, Willie & Merle, Chris Stapleton & more
- The Telegraph

"If you appreciate the good stuff- the stand by artists and albums that never let you down: Wilco, Beatles, The Band, Neil Young, Bob Dylan. There is enough complicated listening out there and our ears deserve something that’s righteous, honest and ballsy in just the right spots and Gallardo nails that equation"
